We are excited to announce the launch of our comprehensive Denver Fire Captain 2026 prep course, the first to feature hand-crafted questions for local Directives, SOGs, and the Union Contract. This release marks a major expansion for FiredUp as we begin rolling out custom, department-specific policy testing for select partners and Agency Accounts. Read on to learn how we are moving beyond standard textbooks to help firefighters master the unique local material that matters most.

If you are taking the Denver Fire Captain Exam on April 23rd, 2026, you know the drill: the textbooks are heavy, but the local material is where the test is often won or lost.

Everyone has access to Fire Officer's Handbook of Tactics. But how do you effectively quiz yourself on the Local 858 Contract or the 2026 Directives & SOGs?

Until now, candidates had to rely on flashcards or endless re-reading of PDFs. Today, FiredUp is changing that.

Now Live: Complete Prep for the Denver Captain Exam

We have officially launched our dedicated test bank for the Denver Fire Department 2026 Captain Promotional Exam. This isn’t just a generic study guide; we have hand-crafted over 1,000 practice questions covering the specific local documents you need to know.

The Denver 2026 Course Covers:

  • Denver Fire Directives & SOGs (2026 Edition)

  • Local 858 Contract

  • Fire Officer's Handbook of Tactics

  • The Culture Code

  • Step Up and Lead

For Denver candidates, this is your secret weapon. You can drill specific articles of the contract or specific directives just like you would a textbook chapter.

A New Era for FiredUp: Custom Local Content

For years, FiredUp has been the #1 trusted source for textbook-based promotional prep. We have helped over 20,000 firefighters master standard texts like Coleman, Norman, and Ifsta.

But we know the fire service isn't one-size-fits-all.

We are excited to announce that we are expanding our capabilities to include Department-Specific Material. We are now rolling out the ability to generate high-quality practice exams for your department’s unique:

  • Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs)

  • General Orders & Policies

  • Union Contracts

  • Local Protocols

How This Program Works (Beta)

This initiative is currently in a selective testing phase. Because ensuring the accuracy of local policy questions requires significant attention to detail, this service is not currently available through the standard "Request a Source" page in our app.

Right now, we are offering this service exclusively to:

  1. Agency Accounts: Fire Departments that purchase an agency subscription for their members.

  2. Select Departments: Departments we elect to support based on demand (like Denver Fire).

Bring FiredUp to Your Department

If you are a Training Officer or Chief and want to provide your members with a modern, mobile-friendly way to learn your department's SOGs and Policies, we want to hear from you.

This is the future of promotional testing—moving beyond static PDFs to active, trackable learning.
