Quick Update from the Team
Hey everyone—we know it's been a little quiet on the blog lately, but that doesn't mean we've been sitting around the station waiting for the tones. We've been heads-down working on making FiredUp better for you. Here's a quick rundown of what's been happening and what's on the horizon.
Performance Improvements & Bug Fixes
First things first: FiredUp is now faster and more reliable than ever. Over the past few weeks, we've pushed a ton of updates to production that you've probably already noticed:
Pages load quicker across the board
Quizzes run smoother, even on slower connections
We've squashed a bunch of bugs that were reported by users like you
A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to report issues. When you hit that support button or shoot us an email, we actually read every single message. Your feedback directly shapes what we work on. Keep it coming—it helps us make FiredUp better for everyone.
New Sources Are Coming
We hear you—you want more books. We're working diligently to add new sources to the platform, and we've got a bunch of releases planned for early 2026. We know adding sources has been slower than we'd like, but we're committed to getting you the study materials you need.
If you've requested a book through the source request feature, know that we see those requests and prioritize based on demand. The more firefighters who request a specific book, the higher it moves on our list.
Pilot Program: Union Contracts & Department Policies
Here's something new we're excited about. We're piloting a program for union contracts and department policies.
If your department or union local has contracts, SOGs, policies, or other materials you need to study for your promotional exam, we want to hear from you. Submit your materials to us, and if we approve it for the pilot, we'll create custom practice questions based on your specific content.
How to participate:
Use the support widget in the bottom corner of the site, or
Email us directly at support@firefighterpromotion.com
Tell us about your department, what materials you'd like us to create questions for, and we'll take it from there. This is a pilot program, so we're starting small and expanding based on feedback.
Quiz Sharing Feature Coming This Spring
One of the most requested features is finally in development: quiz sharing. Once we get more sources added to the platform, we'll be rolling out the ability to share quizzes with your crew, your department, or even firefighters across the country.
No more telling your buddy which sources and chapters you used—just share the quiz directly and let them get to studying. Look for this feature in the spring.
Looking Ahead to 2026
We're excited about what's coming. More sources, new features, and continued improvements based on your feedback. FiredUp is 100% firefighter-owned and operated, built by IAFF union members who understand what you're going through. We're in this with you.
Thanks for being part of the FiredUp community. Now get back to studying—that promotion isn't going to earn itself.
Stay safe out there.
